Garlic Problem?
I pulled up a couple of garlic bulbs today. The leaves were going a bit brown but I wasn’t sure if that indicated the garlic was ready or not. There’s a bit of doubt because in the wind and rain about 3 weeks ago the plants took a hammering and were leaning over a bit.
Anyways, much to my disappointment the unearthed bulbs were titchy ! Great smell of garlic but really small bulbs. Fingers crossed the rest of them aren’t the same. I’m now wondering if I should’ve weeded more between each garlic plant ….could be yet another mistake… bleeding nora!
Question On Garlic
My garlic seems to be growing but the tips of the leaves are brown. As there’s still sometime to go before it’s ready to be harvested (I planted it in November I think it was) is is right that the leaves are already going brown?
Garlic Update
The garlic looks like is going in the right direction and has obviously grown since last months photo.
Garlic Is Sprouting
The Solent White garlic is starting to sprout.
I ordered four bulbs from Suttons and then split the bulbs into the individual cloves (which you then plant just below the surface) and I’m now wondering if I’ll end up with too much.
