Question On Garlic
My garlic seems to be growing but the tips of the leaves are brown. As there’s still sometime to go before it’s ready to be harvested (I planted it in November I think it was) is is right that the leaves are already going brown?

Hi John
I went round and had a look at your garlic. It looks fine - I think it may be suffering from a bit of windburn. Mine looks similar. Loved the shed pictures

Hi Rose
Thanks!
See you down there in the next day or so - I’ve got onions to plant!

Hi there, I would be very grateful if you could help me with my Garlic query…
I planted it in February and it has been growing pretty well since then. However, I have never grown it before and I am getting a bit concerned that no bulbs appear to be forming at the base of the plant. What should I expect to see after a few months growth? The leaves are about 2ft high and rougly resemble skinny leaks!
Thanks for any help!
Chris
Hi Chris
Your garlic sounds exactly like mine - though I haven’t checked if the bulbs are forming under the soil.
I’m certainly no expert (I’ve never grown it before) but I guess it’s doing fine - and it won’t be ready for a few weeks yet of course.
You could always take a look at the RHS site as that’s got a good veg section.
Thanks very much for your help! Very glad my garlic sounds normal, did some more digging on the internet and found some photos of ‘just pulled’ garlic, which was also reassuring!
Thanks again.
